Project Description

The Construction and Installation of 500,000-Barrel Crude Oil Storage Tanks at Refinery Tank Dike No. 2 was executed on a PC basis as part of a larger crude oil storage development program with a total capacity of 10 million barrels. The project scope includes complete mechanical fabrication and installation, welding and quality-control activities, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), hydrostatic testing, sandblasting and painting, as well as all required activities to prepare the tanks for commissioning and operation. The project involved the construction and completion of four floating-roof crude oil storage tanks, each with a capacity of 500,000 barrels. Floating-roof technology provides safe and efficient storage while helping to minimize hydrocarbon evaporation and product losses. The project contributes significantly to increasing crude oil storage capacity, improving refinery operational flexibility, and enhancing the reliability of crude oil receiving, storage, and transfer operations.
